Removing Plaque and tartar
We use a scaler in order to remove the plaque and tartar around your gum line and between your teeth. With the help of a small mirror this can be a seamless process. Proper brushing and flossing can stop plaque from building up and hardening into what is known as tartar.
Gritty Teeth Cleaning Process
After your teeth is free of tartar, the hygienist will then brush them with a high powered electric brush to aide in the gritty toothpaste cleaning process.This will remove any tartar that was not removed during the scaler process. The grit in the toothpaste is designed to scrub your teeth. We recommend that you have this done two times a year.
Flossing, Rinsing and Fluoride Treatment
We rinse your mouth to remove any debris. This is done by using a liquid fluoride. Fluoride serves as a protection to fight cavities for months.We provide proper flossing to our patients. We get deep between your teeth to see if you have any problems areas. By flossing this will remove any toothpaste or plaque from your mouth.
